Meeting for Springfield tutoring project to support underprivileged students
The Northern Educational Service Tutorial Project held an informational meeting in the Chapel Lounge. The project was founded to serve disadvantaged or underprivileged students in Springfield, with a black majority. Tutors from Smith, Amherst, and Springfield College worked one-on-one with a student on the same subject every week.
