Critique of strike’s efficacy

A Sophian editorial from the April 20th edition and another opinion-based article from the April 27th edition questioned the efficacy of striking against the Indochina War and criticized the disorganized, ambiguous way the motion to strike proceeded through the Smith community. While still being opposed to Nixon’s escalation of the war, they suggested other strategies to protest it, such as supporting anti-war Senator George McGovern’s bid for the U.S. presidency.
