Assistant dean for minority affairs appointed
Marjorie Richardson was appointed by the College as assistant dean for minority affairs at the beginning of the semester. An article in the Sophian talked about what had brought her to the position and what she hoped to do as assistant dean. Her main responsibility was to continue developing Bridge, the student of color orientation program that began in 1970. She also aimed to work with the various cultural organizations on campus and develop programs and excursions centered around women of color.
The full Sophian article on Richardson can be found here.
