Sophian article on unspecified racist incidents
A Sophian article in the April 11th issue explained the actions being taken to address “a number of incidents” that had taken place on campus in the previous weeks. Although the writer noted that the incidents were racial in nature, there are no details beyond that as to what specifically happened. Presumably, the Sophian was referring to the racist problems occurring in Cutter House and Gillett House (see March 13, 2002 and April 9–10, 2002 on the timeline).
