President Dunn responds to Concerned Students of All Colors (CSAC) grievance list
President Dunn released a response to the Concerned Students of All Colors (CSAC) demands two days after the group’s press conference and protest march. In it, she addressed each of the 18 grievances, noting that they were “largely long-standing complaints which have been brought to the attention of the administration before.” President Dunn disagreed with the complaints about the affirmative action hiring process and emphasized the initiatives the College was already taking to address many of the other racial issues on campus. She did acknowledge that “we have not done enough to combat racism on campus” and ended by saying that while they were working on a civil rights policy, “the college remains liable for any civil rights violations” in the meantime.
President Dunn’s complete response to the 18 grievances can be found here (1, 3).
