As I work through many years of proceedings, minutes, reports, and correspondence for the YWCA of the U.S.A. national conventions it’s a welcome relief when there are some visually interesting documents. The convention materials are very interesting and provide a clear image of where the organization is at the time in addition to reflecting many of the social, economic, political, and racial concerns faced by women. Describing the conventions has better prepared me to describe the subject files ahead as I feel I understand more the overall picture of the national organization. Despite the interesting content, it is a lot of text to scroll through and it’s nice to have something to break up the text.
