Bertha Capen Reynolds recorded the songs they sung in 1918 in her diary. Try to imagine the women with serious expressions and lovely modest white dresses singing about sex, libido and repression!

Tune, “They go wild, simply wild over me”

We go wild, simply wild over Freud
with our psychanalysis we’re overjoyed.
Our libido knows no fright
We dissect our dreams each night
We’re fresh on repression
Transference our delight
No dismay we display over sex
And its we who are free from complex
But we know from what you dream
That you are not what you seem
For we’re hep, full of pep, over Freud.

Tune “Home Sweet Home”

Thro’ clinics and hospitals
Though we may roam
Be it ever so normal
There’s no place like home
