Much in the same vein as with Florence Mwangi, on November 21st the Sophian published an interview with Japanese student Haruko Uramatsu ‘61, a freshman planning on majoring in art. The short piece talks about her parents, a Japanese-American Wellesley grad and a literary critic, her home in Tokyo, and her memories of avoiding the Japanese internment camps during WWII.
