Sophian reports on new courses in “Non-Western Studies”
Announcing some of the new courses for the 1961-62 school year, the Sophian listed a group of new courses focusing on Asian and Middle Eastern studies. Some of the new courses included Arabic 101, Modern Literary Arabic, a literary language course to be taught by Mr. Robert M. Haddad, and Art of India, being offered at Mount Holyoke with Ellen Conant.
