Body outlines drawn in protest of apartheid

Members of the Ethical Investment Committee and the Divestment Task Force painted sixteen outlines of human bodies between President Dunn’s house and Neilson Library. The body outlines were intended to represent the young people dying in South Africa and bring them to the attention of the Smith community at large. The students who drew the outlines also put up signs explaining the outlines and listing upcoming anti-apartheid events. However, the signs were taken down by Campus Security because they were in violation of postering regulations.
