Black Students’ Alliance (BSA) demands action from the administration

The Black Students’ Alliance (BSA) sent a list of five demands to the administration regarding the racist notes and decapitated black doll received by a student in Wilson House. The demands were the expulsion and prosecution of the perpetrators, the adoption of a rule to automatically expel anyone who writes discriminatory notes, the programming of mandatory racial awareness workshops on campus led by black students, the granting of extensions to victims of racial incidents to allow them to finish their work without penalty, and a written statement from the administration by 12 p.m., December 21st, as well as the issue being addressed at the January 27th start-of-the-semester, campus-wide meeting.

A Union-News (Springfield) article on the demands can be found here.
