Nosotras writes letter to the editor about budget
Fradyn Suarez, a member of Nosotras, explained what had happened with their budget in a Sophian letter to the editor. She explained that their treasurer had been impeached and their co-chair was resigning because of the incident, acknowledging that the budget had been turned in late but stressing the importance of Nosotras and the other Unity organizations on campus. Suarez said that the proposed budget cuts would have “virtually eliminated the possibility of Nosotras’ existence on this campus,” forcing them to search for any way to remedy the situation. Additionally, the penalty would have affected the future Nosotras budget for years and years. Suarez ultimately proposed that the entire process for funding Unity organizations be changed.
