Students’ Grassroots Organizing Group holds informational meeting
The Students’ Grassroots Organizing Group sent out an email inviting everyone from the student body, faculty, and staff to a Friday informational meeting on the recent incidents on campus and the group’s demands. The audience was mostly comprised of students who were members of the Grassroots group, although there were also a few faculty and staff members there. Most of those who chose to speak agreed with the demands, which addressed the institutional structure around issues of race at Smith.
