Students’ Grassroots Organizing Group meets with administrators

Leaders from the Students’ Grassroots Organizing Group met with administrators at 8 a.m. to discuss and clarify their demands and plan how the campus should move forward regarding race. The administrators present were acting President John Connolly, Provost Susan Bourque, Dean of the College Maureen Mahoney, and Director of Institutional Diversity Brenda Allen, among others. The meeting lasted two hours and both sides agreed that it was a productive discussion, although they were not yet able to arrive at a concrete solution. Similar meetings between the group and the administration took place on April 22nd and April 26th.
