Students march through campus

Gathering at the Admissions Office, a large group of students marched across the campus to College Hall. They spoke out about the recent issues in the Smith community, most notably the Anne Spurzem letter and the anonymous hate notes, and their experiences with and feelings about them to administrators such as Dean Mahoney. There was an open mic at the end for anyone who wanted to go up and talk about what they were dealing with.

The poster advertising the march can be found here.

From the Weaving Voices Archives oral histories, to be submitted to the Smith College Archives in Spring 2019.
