Students send open letter to campus

Born out of the hurt that people across campus felt after the Anne Spurzem letter and the anonymous hate notes, students created a Google Document to articulate community problems and exhort students, staff, faculty, and administration alike to help change the toxic aspects of Smith. Although there was a core group of students who worked on the letter, anyone within the Smith community could edit the Google Doc and add their voice to the conversation. The letter was finalized and sent out by email to all Smith students on the afternoon of the march, and hard copies were passed around and read at the march.

The student-written open letter to the Smith community can be viewed here.
