Videoconference on minority student experience held
Smith College was one of 350 colleges and universities that broadcast and participated in a videoconference on improving the college experience for people of color. The conference, called “Retention Strategies for Campus Diversity: Constructing Effective Learning Environments,” featured a panel discussion on topics such as “the revolving door of diversity on campus.” Its broadcast at Smith was sponsored by Smith’s Society Organized Against Racism (SOAR), the Office of Minority Affairs, and the Dean of the College.
