Louise B. Hall ‘68 becomes assistant director of admissions
(October 16 is when it was reported in the Sophian)
Under student pressure via the BSA demands, a Black graduate of Smith was appointed as a recruiter and the assistant director of admissions. It was hoped that Ms. Hall’s leadership would help increase the number of Black student applicants and acceptances. One of her primary responsibilities would include visiting high schools and talking with prospective students.
