Meridians offers two awards, Paula J. Giddings Best Article Award and the Elizabeth Alexander Creative Writing Award. These awards, respectively, recognize knowledge production from published issues of Meridians: feminism, race, transnationalism and from the artistic, political, and cultural advocacy undertaken by women of color nationally, transnationally, and globally respectively.
