Feature 1: “Feminist Uprising in Iran and the Politics of Solidarity” by Manijeh Moradian

In 2023, the NYC chapter of Feminists for Jina created this video as part of a global joint action marking one year of feminist revolutionary uprisings in Iran, on the anniversary of the state killing of Jina Mahsa Amini. The film was screened in Union Square in downtown Manhattan and was followed by a “night march” of Iranian feminists and supporters. It was also screened at the Barnard Center for Research on Women at the event which opens Moradian’s essay, “Feminist Uprising in Iran and the Politics of Solidarity.”
