The 1989 Smith College School for Social Work B program skit gives a sense of a day in the life of a student. The B program was a one year MSW for people who had had at least three years of supervised clinical experience prior to coming to Smith. The days at Smith for A and B students were very busy, but the B programs surely packed a lot in 15 months of study.
Juan Sosa was the sole graduate of color in 1989. The next year, the SSW community began the Anti-Racism commitment – believing the School had to better represent the increasingly diverse population of the country and to make our community more inclusive and representative.

Students in the Smith College School for Social Work held senior skit night at the end of each summer for most of the 100 years of the school’s existence. This was performed in 1999.
