Gloria Steinem ‘56 tells everyone about India in the Sophian

Gloria Steinem, who would go on to become an author, women’s rights activist, and white feminist icon, went to India during her time at Smith. Her studies were sponsored by the Chester Bowles Asian Fellowship. She wrote about the experience in a series of long articles, which were published in the Sophian. Read them below.
