Sophian announces march on Washington for Vietnam ceasefire, reports on petition results
In its November 18th edition, the Sophian announced a national march on Washington on November 27th to halt U.S. military operations in Vietnam and promote negotiation with the Hanoi government. It justified this announcement by citing the conflicting viewpoints expressed by faculty members around the Smith petition in support of U.S. administration’s policy (see the November 4th event). At the time of the article’s publication, close to 500 students had signed the petition.
