Letter to the editor calls for more debate and participation at Smith
In a Sophian letter to the editor, a Smith student returning from a year abroad in Paris criticized the diffident intellectual environment at Smith and encouraged informed debate and student participation, claiming that “We are anesthetized into believing that our primary obligation is to ourselves”. It was written in a similar vein to Sophian letters to the editor on October 14th and 21st, 1965.
