この本はいい本です。おじいさんとおばあさんはとてもかわいいです。おじいさんは笠を買わないから、地蔵にあげました。そして、地蔵はおじいさんとおばあさんに食べ物をあげました。
I would recommend this book to first year students. There are some unfamiliar vocabulary and kanji, but the story is cute and compelling, so it is easier to follow.
この本はいいです。女の子は大き家に住んでいます。でも、悲しいです。いつも一人でですから。そして、友ちに会うから、しあわせになります。
I would recommend this book for first year Japanese students. There are few difficult vocabulary or kanji and the story is interesting. The illustrations are also nice and complement the story well.
この本には、二つの話があります。「蜘蛛の糸」に書いた地獄はとても怖いに気がします。この話を読むと、他の人を助ければ自分も助かります。それに「鼻」に書いた話はみなの多様性を大切にするのことを教えてくれましたが、私はお坊さんだったら、鼻を大きくなるのはやっぱり嫌だろう……
There are two meaningful stories in this short story collection about the importance of selflessness and self-appreciation. I am surprised to see how the story about the long nose has some connection to our 多読 project.
日本の富士山はとても有名ですから、富士山のことを知っています。でも、本を読んだ後、新しいことを学びました。富士山はどうやってできたのは全然知らなかったが、富士山は下の小御岳（かわいい名前です）が噴火して生まれました。面白い。去年の夏は富士山の六合目に登ったが、山の上にいるので山を見えません。後悔でした。次日本に行ったら、近くの町に富士山を見るつもりです。本はとても良かったです、絵もかわいい。
This is a good book for learning about Mt.Fuji. It talks about the history and surrounding sights of the mountain, and a guide to hike the mountain. The part explaining the formation of the mountain was interesting. Fuji had several small mountains under it which formed in early periods due to volcano eruptions. Then, the book also introduces the recent eruptions, one happened in 800 and one in 1707. The book has great information and nice illustrations, I will recommend this book to other students,
ジヨンさん日本へはちょっとおもしろいです。本は二ストリがあります。ジヨンさｎはあたらしともだちのゆきさんにあいます。かわいいですね。たんごとぶんぽはむずかしくない。
The two short stories in this book follow Jon, someone staying in Tokyo to study. In his travels he meets a new friend and they hang out together, each time not ending as it should. Reading level is very relaxed, even the katakana have furigana making reading possible for students who have not yet learned the secondary alphabet.

この本はとても怖いです。タクシーの運転手木村さんは若い女の子を桜子公園の隣にドライヴをしました。でも、女の子は、家の中に入って、出てきませんでした。お母さんと話して、女の子は３日前自転車の事故でした、まだ家に帰りませんでした。木村さんは会いました女の子は多分たましいです。
I think this book is really fun and easy to read. It’s easy to follow the story because because it’s in chronological ordered, and we have covered all of the grammar in this book. However, it does contain a lot of Kanji, so one might need a dictionary to look up the meanings. Also if you need a clear ending to the story, this book might not be for you because the ending is open for interpretation!
この本のなかで、笑い話がたくさんあります。話がたくさんありますが、難しくないです。心配しないてください。この本は面白いし、簡単し、読んだほうがいいとおもいます。読んでくださいね。
I really like this book because it contains a lot of traditional Japanese funny stories. Although they are all interesting, they are not necessarily funny. So you might not feel “LOL”throughout the reading but I’m sure you will be amused by the small wit hidden in the simple language. I would recommend this book.
この本はとても楽しくて、きれいです。桃太郎さんは親切そうですがたくさんおいしいきびだんごをあげました。いい人だと思います。
This story was very fun and pretty. Momotarou was very kind because he handed out tasty dango so nicely and was friendly to every person/animal he came by.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and weird stories. The sentence structure we have already learned there a couple of words you may need to look up but its a very doable reading. The drawings are very cool too.
これはとてもいいです。でも、ちょっと悲しいでした。いつわたしは読みて私は悲しくなりました。ハチは犬です。ハチはとてもいい犬です。ハチはオーナーがだいすきでした。最終的には何にはハチがもらって感動しました。
I would recommend this book because it gives a brief explanation of why there is a statue of a dog at a train station. I new about the statue and it was nice to read about it. It was a bit sad for me but at the same time there was a happy ending with how Hachi was and is remembered. There were very few words that we haven’t learned yet, but it was mostly easy to read.

この本はちょっと悲しいです。女の子はタクシーでのる、でも女の子がいません。この本は怪談です、でも怖くないですよ。きれい絵と面白い ストーリー があります。とてもいい本です。
I would recommend this book to other Japanese students. It was an easy read, I only had to look up a few words and knew all the grammar forms, but was still interesting. The story is bittersweet and I think the pictures add a lot to it.
