It is definitely a worthwhile touching little story that my summary couldn’t really catch the feeling of.
このストーリーはとても面白いです。この本の方が私読んだ本より、ちょっと長くて、ちょっと難しいいです。新しい単語がたくさんありますから。でも、絵は綺麗です。
I recommend this book! I would say the level of this book is 1.5, because it is more difficult than other 1 level books that I’ve read. The storyline is nice, with unexpected unfolding. It’s impressive for a book with a few pages to tell such a good story!
この本はとても面白くて、日本のお祭りについて話します。いろいろな七夕のイベントや文化を紹介します。すごく楽しいと思います。この本を読んで、私も夏休みに、日本に行ったり、七夕祭りのイベントをしたり、かき氷を食べたりしたいです。それから、ジョンさんは明るくて、面白いキャラクターだから、ジョンさんのストーリーを読むのが大好きです。
私はこの本を勧めます。今学期の新しい文法と単語をたくさん使ったから、たくさん練習します。この本を読んで、日本の文化をたくさん習います。ぜひ読んでください。
この本はとてもかわいくて、たのしいです。図でストーリーがありますから。This book was about what the Kimura family did for New Year and their customs. I really liked how despite the book being a book that explains Japanese culture through a series of events, the pictures themselves had individual little stories in them. If you are looking for a book that teaches Japanese culture but in a fun way, this book is definitely a recommendation.
この本はとてもおもしろいです。チチさんねこです。ちちさんはしんりんでまよいました。友だちを待っていました。たくさんどうぶつ（animal）は手伝いました。友だちはせがひくくて、みみがちいさくて、ちょっと太っていと言っていました。最後、ちちさんは友だちとおいしいケーきを食べました。いいですね。
The storyline is very warm, as all the others help Chichi find its friend. And it is very cute when they are guessing if the rabbit and other animals are Chichi’s friend.
There are some kanji (with hiragana on top) that we have not learned, like くろい(black). But it is easy to guess the meaning according to the pictures.
Also, it is a good review for Japanese first-year student because there are lots of sentences using と思いました andと言っていました。
I really like the pictures the authors drew! Those drawings are very cute. 海がだいすき！This book reminds me of a lot of 楽しいこと, though I did not get the ending. Overall, I like it.
I will recommend this to Japanese first-year students. The book is easy to read and interesting. Additionally, we can learn some new kanji.
スーパーで 「お母さんは、どこ？」はとてもかわいいと思います。りんちゃんはおもしろい子どもだと思います。お母さんはとても しんせつだと思います。この本が大すきです。
I thought this story was told very well. The drawings get across the story very well and also work great as cues for new words. This story is also useful to review te-form and reinforce some lesson 7/8 kanji. I would recommend this story to any Japanese 110 student.
この本はとても面白いです。ストーリーがありませんが、インフォがたくさんありますから。私は寿司を作って食べるのが大好きです。だから、この本を読んで寿司の歴史と作り方をたくさん勉強しました。いろいろな魚の名前もたくさんあります。挿絵は可愛いです。いろいろな寿司の挿絵と写真があります。
I recommend this book. It talks a lot about the sushi culture. I learned all kinds of sushi and the correct way to eat and make sushi. I learned what 回転寿司 is. 新しい漢字があります。ちょっと難しですが、わかりました。挿絵は本当に助けましたから。

This book is about the different forms of soya beans. I did not know they were so many ways of cooking these, and I did not know Japanese people eat them under so many forms! 日本人が えだまめとしょうゆともやしとなっとうととうふとあぶらを 食べます。すごいです！
This book was really interesting and they even made なっとう cute! I would recommend it for beginners because it is easily understandable. Of course, some words are unknown but they are guessable with the context!
This book was average. I understood 90% of it, so I recommend it as a level zero book. The story was funny in parts. It had some Genki character fanfiction as part of the plot. There were a few vocabulary words that I didn’t know but I was not able to figure them out from the context or the drawings.
This book was fine but if you picked another random student book it would probably be just as good. It was not challenging so this is good book if you do not want to be too intimidated by new vocab and kanji. It takes 5-10 minutes to read.
