The 大豆 book was cute. Soybeans can make many foods. I liked the book.
I recommend this book to people who want to learn about Japanese food. I was surprised by how many things derived from soy! Not only that but the book shows general instructions on how the foods are made.
この本は、日本人の家族について、とてもたのしいですが、 かんたんですが、いいです。
家族は二人子どもとお母さんとお父さんがいます。
二人子どもは家にお母さんの誕生日ケーキとサンドイッチを作りに帰りました。
お父さんはワインとプレゼント、家に帰りました。
買い物でしたから、おそいお母さんは家に帰りました。
一緒に、二人子どもとお父さんを歌いました。。。「お母さん、お誕生日おめでとう！」
家族は。。。とても元気ですね。にぎやかですよ！
I recommend this book because it is a quick and easy read. Furigana is provided for both the Kanji and katakana. If there is any confusion with vocabulary, the visuals give enough information so that it will be easy to fill in the blanks. This is a lighthearted little story with a plot line that progresses quickly. Best of all, at the end there is a funny surprise!

この本はとてもよかったです。 新しいぶんぽがあるから、ちょっとむずかしかったです。 でも、かんじはかんたんでした、だから本はとてもむずかしくなかったです。 ずはかわいかったですね。
I would recommend this book to any classmate! It’s clearly a children’s book, but the pictures are very cute and help the reader figure out what is going on before they even need to look up the new vocab. All the kanji has furigana, which is helpful, and the grammar is simple.
とてもいい本でしたよ！私は早く読んで、わらいました。私はこの本を読んでよかったです。でも、文はとてもみじかくて、ふりがなの漢字がたくさんありませんから、むずかしくないです。
I enjoyed this book, though it was a bit too easy. It had some interesting facts and statistics about Japan and Japanese people, which were enjoyable, but the sentences were very short and simple. There was still quite a bit of kanji though!

さいきん フィクションの本は つうじょうのパターンが あるけど、この本は たくさん本より どくじだと思います。始めに、さびしい女の子のりょこうについてだと 思ったけれど、女の子は 大きいひみつが あります。さいごのページを読んで、びっくりしました。でも ぜったいに おもしろくて、いい本だから、ひま時に 読んでください！！
In this book you will find many layers of meaning under the story of a taxi driver who brings a lost 12 year old girl home. “Taxi” is tragic, yet beautifully told, perhaps giving insight into how some Japanese think of the spiritual world. It will make you question what makes a happy ending and is sure to be a week’s worth of food for thought 🙂
この本は面白いかったと思います。私は早く読んで、えかおしました。文はとてもみじかくなくて、かんたんじゃなくて、ちょっと難しくて、楽しかったです。漢字と新しい単語がたくさなりました！
I would recommend this book. The story was light, silly, a bit unrealistic, but overall enjoyable. The sentences were a good length, and there were quite a few new vocabulary words that are easy enough to figure out from context if you don’t want to look them up. Give it a shot!
このものがたりはとても面白くて、たのしいです。たとえば、ひこきで二人まんがをわしりました。この本はいいですよ、ジヨンさんと女の人は友になりましたですから。This story was not only interesting, but it was also fun. For example, on the plane they both forgot their manga book. this story was a good book because Jun san was able to make a friend.
I would recommend this book because the plot is very funny, the characters are very silly and forgetful so it makes a fun story to read. The kanji is easy to read and easy to follow.
このストーリーはいいでした。私は好きでした。小さいねこはかわいかったです。こどもはねこが大好きでした。りょうさんはおもわりさんはいいしごとをしました。
I would recommend this short story to anyone, it’s an easy read. It’s about a good policeman. It’s really nice and how helpful a person can be to others and care for their well being.
この本はいろいろ日本の着物の写真と歴史があります。綺麗ですね。将来、私は浴衣を着て、錦戸亮と花火大会に行くつもりです :))
This book talks about the history of Japanese traditional clothing and festivals. They are all very beautiful. I will recommend this book to everyone who has interest in Japanese traditional culture.
この本はとてもおもしろいです。ジョンさんはわからない人だと思います。本の前半でおばあさんはしんせつですよ。本の後半はちょっとつまらないですが、おわるはおもしろいです。This book is very funny. I think that John is a confused person. The old lady in the first half of this book is kind. The second half is a little boring, but the ending is funny.
This book is divided into two main parts, both centered around John. I would definitely recommend it because it has a lot of funny moments. We’ve learned most of the words and grammar structures in Japanese I already, so no matter what your Japanese level is, this book can be understood.
