大豆

 

この本はおもしろいです。私はたくさん大豆についてしりませんでした。どこで大豆は来るから習いました。ずがはいいでした。たくさん食べ物のずががありました。やさいについてを読みたかったらこの本はいいです。

This was a very informational book about soybeans. It goes into detail of where this is found in food products and what dishes they are found in. There were drawn picture examples of people eating the dishes and actual pictures of the food products made out of soybeans. This was easy to read and informational, the kanji wasn’t too hard, some of the captions on the picture have kanji we haven’t learned yet, but the rest was easy.

私はとても驚いています！私はその物語が違うと思いました。面白し、悲しし、ちょっと怖いし、この本が好きです。もっと怖いに日本語で読みました。絵はとても綺麗です。物語はとても簡単ですが少し新しい漢字がありますね。読んでください！

I’m really surprised! I didn’t expect the plot to be like that. I like the book because it was interesting, sad, and a little bit scary (I actually got a little bit of goosebumps). For some reason, it seems scarier to read it in Japanese. Anyways, the illustrations were beautiful. The story was extremely easy, but there are a few new kanji. I would recommend this book!

笑い話

私は笑っていなかったから、この本は好きじゃないです。本の中でたくさん小さい話があります。単語と漢字は難しくなかった。でも、ちょっとながかったです。

I didn’t really like this book because I didn’t really laugh. I was hoping the stories would be a little bit more humorous. This book has several mini stories inside. The tango and kanji is not difficult, but the sentences are a bit long.

わらしべ長者

 

この本はいい本です。佐吉はお金がありますん。でも、わらしべはみかんになって、みかんはぬのになって、ぬのは馬になって、馬は大きな家になって、佐吉はお金もちになりました。そして、わらしべ長者になりました。

I would recommend this book for first year Japanese students. It is a very interesting tale, and easy to read. There were not many unfamiliar kanji or vocab.

木村家の毎日「お正月」

面白ですね！私は日本の文化を習いました！日本の文化はよく知らないが、簡単な文章と綺麗な絵は意味を分かります。 ユーモアがあります。読んでください！

This book is interesting! I learned some few things about Japanese culture. I am unfamiliar with Japanese New Year customs, but the simple sentences and beautiful drawings helped me understand what I was reading/learning. It also has a little bit of humor. I would recommend this book!

風と太陽〜イソップ物語より〜

この文章は繰り返しますから、「風と太陽〜イソップ物語より〜」はとても簡単です。たくさん前学期の単語からがあります。簡単すぎますから、面白くなかったです。でも、あなたは早く読むことができます。

Since the sentences repeats itself, Wind and Sun~Aesop’s Fables~ was extremely easy. There were many vocabulary words from last semester. Because it was a little bit too easy, I didn’t find the plot to be very interesting. But you can read this story really quickly.

笠地蔵

 

この本はいい本です。おじいさんとおばあさんはとてもかわいいです。おじいさんは笠を買わないから、地蔵にあげました。そして、地蔵はおじいさんとおばあさんに食べ物をあげました。

I would recommend this book to first year students. There are some unfamiliar vocabulary and kanji, but the story is cute and compelling, so it is easier to follow.

女の子

 

この本はいいです。女の子は大き家に住んでいます。でも、悲しいです。いつも一人でですから。そして、友ちに会うから、しあわせになります。

I would recommend this book for first year Japanese students. There are few difficult vocabulary or kanji and the story is interesting. The illustrations are also nice and complement the story well.

笑い話

 

この本のなかで、笑い話がたくさんあります。話がたくさんありますが、難しくないです。心配しないてください。この本は面白いし、簡単し、読んだほうがいいとおもいます。読んでくださいね。

I really like this book because it contains a lot of traditional Japanese funny stories. Although they are all interesting, they are not necessarily funny. So you might not feel “LOL”throughout the reading but I’m sure you will be amused by the small wit hidden in the simple language. I would recommend this book.

桃太郎

この本はとても楽しくて、きれいです。桃太郎さんは親切そうですがたくさんおいしいきびだんごをあげました。いい人だと思います。

This story was very fun and pretty. Momotarou was very kind because he handed out tasty dango so nicely and was friendly to every person/animal he came by.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and weird stories. The sentence structure we have already learned there a couple of words you may need to look up but its a very doable reading. The drawings are very cool too.
