Rumya S. Putcha is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Women’s Studies and the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia, USA. She is the author of The Dancer’s Voice: Performance and Womanhood in Transnational India and Namaste Nation: Orientalism and Wellness Cultures in the United States.

The 2022 Honorable Mention for the Paula J. Giddings Best Article Award was granted to Evelyn Alsultany, whose piece, “How Hate Crime Laws Perpetuate Anti-Muslim Racism” was selected from Volume 20 Issue 2.
Evelyn Alsultany is an associate professor of American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California. She is the author of Arabs and Muslim in the Media: Race and Representation after 9/11 and co-editor of Arab and Arab American Feminisms and Between the Middle East and the Americas.
