Denisse Velazquez ’19 Quigley Fellow
My experience at Meridians was perhaps the most foundational and formative aspect of my final year at Smith College. Through my exposure to and my participation in the production of a feminist scholarly journal, I was able to discover and develop various abilities that had previously been unbeknownst to me. Beyond assisting in the critical day-to-day duties of the journal’s production, I learned about my interest in event planning which also included initiating collaborative partnerships oriented towards expanding the journal’s audience.
